Hello Riley

The benefit the Ben's cousin Liz was putting on was this Friday. I heard that it went well and there were quite a lot of people there. I know the money raised is really going to help Marla and Terry out with there traveling expenses and with some of Ben's medical bills. Thanks to everyone who made it out to the benefit and donated or won something in the silent auctions. Friday evening my sister and I drove to Wenatchee which has probably been the hardest thing so far. When we got to my parents I was so excited to see Riley (our dog) but also extremely sad at the same time because I didn't have Ben with me. Riley was excited to see us but kept looking for Ben to walk through. Every time someone would walk in Riley would look up quickly and then just look back down when it wasn't Ben. He also seemed to be searching the house for him too. On Saturday we celebrated Soraya's Birthday at a pizza place with family. We have begun to call her birthday the 100 days of Soraya as a joke since her birthday was actually October 29th when we were in the hospital with the boys. We still have one more party for her with her friends next Saturday and then it should be over much to the dismay of Soraya. Last night I got to hang out with a good friend of mine from high school and it was so nice to be with a friend. I haven't really had much opportunity to just sit and hang out in a really long time. My car was supposed to arrive yesterday but I guess it took the truck a little bit longer and is going to arrive today at noon. After that I will be heading up to the lake to go see my grandpa which I am very excited about. Then tonight it is back to Seattle to my sister's for a week and then back to Wenatchee for two weeks and then hopefully off to Spokane. By the way I feel like I finally have Raider back. Over the past couple of weeks I think with all of my stress and emotion and with him being sick he just wasn't his normal happy self Instead he was fussy and cranky all the time. It seems like he has begun to smile and laugh again and this makes me so happy. Also as soon as the car arrives I get to go back to cloth diapering which almost makes me even happier.

The benefit Friday was such a wonderful evening and a real testament to Ben's life and the love we feel for all of you. Elizabeth pulled out all the stops and did an amazing job of putting it together. We're really proud of her.
Love from,
Dan and Kate

I am so glad I got to see you. As soon as I saw you I couldn't hold it together lol. I cannot wait to spend some serious time with you! We'll have to meet up at the coffee cabin in wenatchee, they have a cute little play area. I missed you and have been thinking of and praying for you every single day! Raider is such a cool little dude...he just kind of goes with the flow!
Sounds like things will be slowing down for you pretty soon hopefully. Take care of yourself!

I'm so glad you are back in Washington but so sad we couldn't see eachother. I am really excited to get the clear to see you and that sweet baby of yours. I'm sure Riley is thrilled to get his Mommy back, and now he'll have Harley to cause trouble with. Hugs and kisses.

Hey, the benefit was a success! We missed you guys though. I had probably about fifty people ask if you were there. Glad to hear everyone is feeling better.

One more fundraiser for the family. On Friday, November 15, the PNCWA Girls Just Wanna Have Fun group is doing a Pampered Chef show and 25% of the sales will go to the Benjamin Liesch Family Fund. If you need info, e-mail me at liz.depew@gmail.com.
