Amazing High School Stories

Once again Uncle Jeff, Aunt Terri, Uncle Dennis and Aunt Dorie all stopped by. We were also visited by other relatives too. It is so nice to have such wonderful family near by thinking of us and providing for us during this time. The last couple of days we have had to share the family area with two other large families which really has been our biggest problem, which really isn't a problem at all. Some of Ben's closest high school friends stopped by today which I know Ben really enjoyed. This evening I went out with a bunch of them to Pastimes (a local bar). It was so nice to sit down with some of Ben's closest friends and listen to them reminisce about Ben's life. There were so many stories I had never heard before that brought a smile to my face. I was actually surprised that I heard new stories because it seemed like Ben told me stories about his high school friends all the time. Sometimes I feel like I know these guys better than I do just from all the stories Ben has shared with me over the years. As I was sitting with them at Pastimes I kept thinking about how I hoped they would share all these stories with Raider some day. They were talking about a Ben that I haven't known that I really want Raider to know. I have truely begun to realize how amazing Ben really is. I have always known that he was amazing (that is why I married him), but over the past few weeks I have truely come to understand how many peoples lives Ben has affected and also that Ben was one of a kind. I don't think I have ever met anyone like Ben and I don't think I will ever again. I feel very blessed to have even been in his presence let alone share my life with him. I am going to church again tomorrow with Brian and I am really looking forward to it. Also my sister flies in tomorrow. I probably won't see her till Monday but if you could please pray for safe and smooth travel for her I would greatly appreciate it. I can't imagine what it would be like to fly with a four year old and two 8 months old.

I am so glad that Jeff, Terri, Dennis, and Dorie were able to visit Benjamin again. How I wish we were there so we could also visit with him. That's a downside of living far away from family. But know that we are with you,Benjamin,Raider, Terry, Marla, and Jenna in our hearts, thought, and prayers everyday. Love to all. Marcia

Kirstin.
It's such a comfort to read your blog every day and to not have to wonder how things are going. Thank you. The love and support surrounding your family is a real testament to how much you mean of all of us.
Best wishes and love from,
Dan and Kate

You, Raider and Ben are fortunate to be in the midst of many caring
friends and family. It reminds me of the "host of witnesses" ...that surround the Lord's throne in heaven! There is a "spiritual comparison" (to me!)
Maybe someone could videotape the friends telling "Ben stories" for Raider!
May Jesus presence be with you.
