To Valpo We May Go

Today we met with Dr. Groves and Jackie (our case manager). We discussed taking out the breathing tube and taking Ben to Indiana for hospice care. We are still working on all the details, but we have been given the chance to fly Ben home on a medical plane. We are so hoping this all works out and that we get to go soon. We were planning to take out the tube tomorrow and then fly to Indiana on Thursday but now we aren't quite sure. We are trying to find a hospice that is in network with our insurance and has an available bed for Ben. As soon as we get all of that figured out we will be heading to Valpo. Ben is still about the same. He is responding by squeezing and he opened his eyes for Terry. All of us are just feeling better today. Especially since we may be going to Indiana. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.

Oh, how I hope you get to go! This is my new prayer. There is family and support out there for you both. It would be so nice for Jenna not to mention Terry and Marla too. Thank you also for your generous gift of thinking of us in your time of need. Sending all our love and hopes for Ben to go home.

That would be so great if Benjamin could go home to Valpo--a place that he knows so well. There's so many family members there that could give you such support. I'm sure it would mean a great deal to Terry and Marla and Jenna if he could go home. Our prayers are always with you all. The medical plane sounds like a great opportunity and hope it all works out for you. Love, Roger and Marcia

Kirsten, Ben, Raider and all extended family...I hope the trip home to Valpo will give you all comfort and the support that you will need. I'm not an "every Sunday to church girl" but wanted to share this passage with you and hope it will bring you comfort.

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
John 14:27
