I love my husband
This whole ICU thing is really getting hard. Raider is not allowed in the ICU rooms or waiting area so someone has to wait out in the hallway with him while I get to see Ben. Marla and Terry were taking turns doing this and now my Mom is taking care of him. Things would just be so much easier if he could at least go into the waiting room. Oh well. Today started off not so good. Ben was running a fever and wasn't responding as much as the day before. It turns out that he has an infection that the doctors think is pneumonia. They said that the infection could be causing him to be a little more sleepy and less responsive. The ICU doc also said that yesterday Ben was a little over stimulated from all of us talking with him and trying to get him to respond so that today we should just let him rest as much as we could. I got to hang out with Ben for about two hours by myself today and it was so great. It felt good just to be the two of us. I missed talking with him and just being in the presence of someone who truly gets me. Even though he wasn't really responding that much today I still felt like I could just relax and be me and that he was comforting me through it all. Tomorrow Ben will be getting a CT scan to look for infection in his brain and sinuses. We also will be seeing Dr. Groves again who will let us now what we should be expecting from here. Please keep Ben in your prayers.

I hope we raised some funds for Ben today at the fundraiser. I will pray the 23rd Psalm for Ben..it is so peaceful, beautiful and hopeful.
All I can think of is how I last saw him..the regular, active Ben.
My Wednesday AM Bible Study is praying for Ben..the group one that Terry started. They are good about praying for people. I like it. Love, Sonya N. 23rd Psalm
Love is power. Stay strong.
Hello,
I have been sitting here trying to think of something to say to you. But all the words that come to mind seem so small compared to what you are experiencing. I am buddhist and everytime I think of you guys I remember a chant....
Buddhist Blessing and Healing Chant
Just as the soft rains fill the streams, and pour into the rivers, and join together in the oceans,
so may the power of every moment of your goodness flow forth to awaken and heal all beings--
those here now, those gone before, those yet to come.
By the power of every moment of your goodness, may your heart's wishes be soon fulfilled
as completely shining as the bright full moon, as magically as by a wish-fulfilling gem.
By the power of every moment of your goodness, may all dangers be averted and all disease be gone.
May no obstacle come across your way. May you enjoy fulfillment and long life.
For all in whose heart dwells respect, who follow the wisdom and compassion, of the Way, may your life prosper in the four blessings of old age, beauty, happiness and strength.
Love, Hugs and Kisses
from little Lexi LuLu and her mom Sheri
