God's Holy Picnic
Ben had such a good day yesterday but then he was up all night. I guess he got a little overstimulated with all the visitors so he tossed and turned all night long. Today he has been sleeping a lot which is exactly what he needs after last night. Today Pastor Cunningham (the Valpo pastor) came today to bring Ben the sacraments. Marla, Terry, My mom Ben and I all got to take communion which was so nice. I had mentioned that we might be able to get communion to Ben when he was in ICU and he squeezed my hand so tight. I know that he really wanted to receive it and today was perfect. Tonight I will be heading to my grandma's again for a good night of sleep. Please continue to pray for strength and comfort for all of us and that we may feel God's presence in every moment.

I am so glad you all got to take communion. I know you had wanted to do this since Texas. Eat and sleep well tonight. Ben get some sleep tonight too. Loving and praying and thanking God the for the blessings he brings us each day.
Kirstin and Ben,
Greetings and blessings to you.
I am Susan Bolitho, mother of Jonathan and mother-in-law of Andrea (Thien) Bolitho (Kirstin's Valpo roommate).
I have met you before in years past when you were all at Valpo. I have met Marla when visiting my friend, Sherry Williams, in the basketball office in the ARC.
I want you to know that there are many people here in Arizona that are praying for you.
Last night, at the committee meeting for the upcoming Arizona Valpo 150th Anniversary dinner, I shared your story and we prayed for you and shed tears at the same time. You have touched many hearts and have been added to many church prayer lists here.
Andrea and Jon send their love to you. My husband, Lew, and I send our love, too.
I wish you many blessings each day. Keep up the good fight. God loves you.
We are so glad that Dorie, Dennis, Jeff, and Terri were able to visit Benjamin last night. I know that must have meant so much to all. It's so nice to have caring relatives and friends near by. Know that we are constantly thinking of you and praying for Benjamin. Enjoy your much needed sleep tonight. Love to you all, Roger and Marcia
Hey.
Stevie Jaye just called me and let me know what was going on. I had no idea. Benji is one of my favorite memories from college, making fun of his brown pants, the fact that he was always the last one to lunch and therefore had to sit at the end of the lunch table, which he always hated...good times! I will keep the family in my prayers.
Take tonight to rest. I'm glad the pastor came by and that you are surrounded by so much love and support. Know that although not physically present, Nate, Bella and I are with you, Ben and Raider always. Love you all so much and wish so much we could be there too.
Kirstin,
The people of St. Mark's continue to keep you in our prayers and thoughts. Blessings and love to all of you.
Kirstin,
Thank you for the blogs. I read the blog, read the comments, and then pray thru the 23rd Psalm for Ben.
Love,
SN of FLC
