We're on our way

Today was a full day of figuring out how exactly we were going to get back to Indiana and where exactly Ben will be going. We leave tomorrow on a medical flight around 10:30am Central Time. We will arrive in Valpo about two hours later. We have secured a room for Ben at a hospice in Valpo. Today around 4ish they took out Ben's breathing tube. The doctors tested him for a couple hours and decided he was breathing well enough to take out the tube. So it turned out we didn't have to make the decision after all. Ben has been doing really well without the breathing tube and even has smiled a couple times. he smiled real big when my mom told him that My dad said that the seahawks and packers are playing and that he was putting his money on the packers. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel tomorrow that everything goes smoothly. I have to make this blog short because the waiting room I am in is closing and I can't use the computer anymore.

I'm glad things are going well. I am also thankful you are returning to Valpo. It will be nice to have that extra support. Tell Ben he made a pretty good bet, the Hawks SUCK this year. Can't wait to teach Raider to be a Packer fan, too! Love you guys!

Awesome! It's good just knowing he'll be back home. I'm just down the street from Marla and Terry if you guys need anything.

Good luck to you all during your move. You are so lucky to have that medical plane to use. That in itself is a miracle. That's nice that Ben is going home. There are so many friends and family there for support which is so needed at this time. Just know that you have our love, support, and prayers from Florida also. We are here for everyone also. Our love to all and good luck during this very crucial time. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you as always. Love, Roger and Marcia

I am so thankful God's plan is to take you home ... to more family, friends and familiar surroundings. I am also thankful for the many dedicated doctors, nurses and other caregivers who have tended to Ben these last several weeks. Travel safely and know you are in my thoughts always.

So thankful to hear that our prayers for a safe journey were answered. I just got off the phone with Cindy the social worker at Hospice. Marla thanks for giving the okay for her to call me. Cindy and I have been friends for quite some time. Whatever I or Perry can do please let us know. If there is anything with the girl's basketball I will help. Cindy says Raider is adorable. All our love. Perry and Andi
