Hooray for a Care Package!

Well we moved out of the Hilton and back in all in the same day. The generator had not arrived for the guest house so we moved back into the Hilton. They even gave us our same rooms. Tonight though we will be back at the guest house which will hopefully remain our home until we head back to Washington. Last night Ben received a care package from my Aunt Nancy (Thanks!) It was full of goodies and some mindgame books for Ben. She even sent Raider the book Harold and the Purple Crayon which we read to him last night. We didn't get to setting up the PO Box yesterday so we will definitely be doing that today. Ben is still doing really well with his treatments. The fatigue is starting to set in more and I notice him needing to rest more throughout the day. This morning Ben had physical therapy and she really worked him out. He was pretty tired afterwards. She also gave him an elastic band to use for more resistance while he works out. I took Raider back with me today during Ben's PT and both Ben and Raider practiced being on all fours. We figured why not have Raider work on a little PT also. We haven't heard from Dr. Groves if Bens liver enzymes have dropped, so we are assuming no news is good news. My Dad is on his way down to Texas right now with our car. He and his friend Joel left yesterday and should arrive Saturday. Please keep them in your prayers so that they may have a safe journey. We are looking forward to have a few more of our things down here and for Ben to finally have his guitar. Tomorrow we will begin our day at 8am with PT and OT and then he will have radiation at 1pm. It's an early morning but we are definately looking forward to the weekend and some good days of rest.

I just wanted to comment on how much Harold looks like Raider. Cute little baldies. Is Raider on all fours trying to crawl? Take a picture and send it to me if he is. I am praying that no news truely is good news. Good news wouldn't that just be wonderful? Loving you all. Keep up the good work Ben!

vMy mom once read Harold and Purple Crayon to Brie when she was a small girl. In the morning she woke to find my sister had drawn all over her bedroom walls with crayons! Just a heads up! : ) Im glad you are doing so well, Ben! You are an inspiration to us all. I miss you guys and can't wait to see you and that cute little baby of yours. Email me some pics of Raider if you get a chance. Im sure he is just huge now! Hugs and Kisses...
