The Piano Man
So I am sitting here in the Fountain area at MD Anderson listening to a piano man playing The piano man. Just thought I would share that with you. Anyway my dad also sent me an e-mail the other day and said I needed to pay closer attention to my spelling and grammar. (He was an English teacher for all of you who don't know him). I guess I will try to listen to my dad, but I can' t make any promises. I only have a half hour to write and upload the blog everyday while Ben is in radiation so I try to do it as fast as I can. Also, English was probably my least favorite subject in school. Today Ben had his first workout with physical and occupational therapy. They are trying to build up the muscles in his right arm and hand so one of the things they are doing is having him on all fours a lot. The occupational therapist said that she noticed a difference in Ben's hand from when she evaluated him last week and the change was for the better. She said that the massaging we had been doing over the past couple of days really had been helping out. The physical therapist said that Ben was doing really well and that tomorrow she is going to work him out a little bit harder since she knows he can handle it. We still have radiation today before we get to go back home to no power. Hopefully that will come back on soon. Tomorrow is an extremely long day for Ben. He has physical therapy at 8am, occupational therapy at 9, a follow up appointment with Dr. Levine (the neurosurgeon) at 10:30, speech therapy at 11 and radiation at 1pm. With him already dealing with fatigue it will be a tough day. One thing that I worry about is him getting too fatigued. It is important that he stays active through all of this but he also needs his rest, so we are trying to find a balance in all of that. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.

It is so good to hear change for the better. I hope we continue to hear about improvement over the next six weeks. Ben please try to rest as much as possible. The blog is great! I think most people have had no problem understanding it even with the very few gramatical errors. I am going to continue to pray for improvement. Love and miss you guys! Keep up the good work Ben.
It is so nice to hear good news! Try to get some rest, Ben and stay strong. Love you all...
eh, I didn't notice the spelling and grammar ;) glad therapies are going well! Still playing for you guys, lots!
